Arrival/Departure Information for Philadelphia, PA
For those of you who are flying into Philadelphia, below is the information on how to get from the airport to West Philadelphia, where the training will be held, using public transportation.
Please notify us of your arrival time, we may be able to schedule airport pick-ups.
If you are arriving by plane and staying in West Philadelphia you can take the Regional Rail R1 train into 30th Station. From there follow the signs to the Septa Green Line (you will need to go outdoors). You can take the 34 Trolley Westbound into West Philly (if you are traveling from another part of Philadelphia, you can get on the Green Line from the Market-East and Suburban Stations in Center City as well). The 34 Trolley runs on Baltimore Avenue, you will get off at 49th Street stop, pull the cord that runs along the inside of the trolley to signal a stop.
After exiting the trolley, turn left and walk south on 49th St. for 1-2 blocks. Turn left onto Pentridge St. The Cedar Works is on the left side of the street, at 4919 Pentrdige St. There is a black metal fence and a buzzer on your left that you will need to press to be let in.
Trolley and subway tokens can be purchased at most stations. The fare is $3.10 for two tokens. If getting on the trolley or subway without tokens a one-way fare is $2.00 cash. Regional Rail tickets are usually $3.00-$8.00.
