Training for Change was founded on Martin Luther King's birthday in 1992, a carefully chosen birthday for a group that spreads the skills of democratic, nonviolent social change. Read on to find out more about the history of Training for Change.
Direct Education Approach
Since 1992 Training for Change has been committed to increasing capacity around the world for activist training. When we say activist training, we mean training that helps groups stand up more effectively for justice, peace and the environment. We deliver skills directly that people working for social change can use in their daily work. We call our particular approach the direct education approach.
Where We're Located
Primarily based in our West Philadelphia training space, our work does travel to activists across the world. Read on for more information about where we're located and how to access the world-wide network of TFC graduates.
