The New Leadership School for Immigrant Rights is a collaboration between Training for Change and the Philadelphia New Sanctuary Movement, a group committed to organizing faith communities to support immigrant rights.

The New Leadership School worked with a cohort of 17 participants over a course of five months, bringing people together for a one-day workshop once a month, that focused on helping this group to develop skills and confidence for advancing their leadership on immigrant rights issues, such as ending police collaboration with ICE and passing the Dream Act legislation.

The training sessions covered skills such as:
- Core organizing skills;
- Facilitation skills;
- Public speaking and how to talk to reporters;
- Campaign and action design;
- Event planning and volunteer recruitment;
- Leadership roles and styles.
