- One-on-ones: what they are & how to do them, including identifying their leadership interest, their skills, and what information would help motivate them to get more
involved.

Invite and inspire people to get involved in the movement to prevent gun violence!

Heeding God’s Call is undertaking a person-to-person outreach effort in order to broaden and deepen our relationships with potential leaders and activists in faith communities that have participated in our events and actions. We have begun a coordinated program of visiting people in these faith communities in order to weave a network of relationships, to identify potential leaders, and to discern each faith community’s values, current social actions, and potential for call and commitment to the work of gun violence prevention.

TRAINING & RESOURCES TO BUILD SHARED COMMITMENT Learn & gain confidence to inspire others to raise voices and take action to end gun violence!

We will gather 50-75 people in small groups for a brief training/orientation session to encourage and prepare you to conduct one-on-one conversations with members of your own, and nearby/related, faith communities. In addition to equipping you with facts and statistics, we will to also prepare you with interpersonal skills and tools for effective personal outreach and relationship-building, such as listening, affirming, challenging, inviting ideas, reflecting, and thinking together.
