This anti-oppression workshop focused on building awareness of how mainstreams and margins are created in groups and the unintended barriers that can be created by group norms and group culture. The students in this workshop were asked to assess the culture of the groups they work with on their campus and brainstorm strategies that would help them include the people on the margins or communities outside of their group in order to make their organizations stronger and more effective.
