Training Associate Matt Guynn (Richmond, IN) and Betsy Raasch-Gilman (St. Paul, MN) have been hired by the Citizens Action Coalition to investigate needs and recommend methods for training citizen leaders in the state of Indiana.
This is the first step of a three-phase training project, which is intended to build up civil society by building trust and increasing social and political literacy among citizens. The project intends to produce more individuals who understand and know how to impact local government, and stronger networks of people who can shift public policy and the quality of life in Indiana.
The project is built on CAC's mission: To initiate, facilitate and coordinate citizen action directed to improving the quality of life of all inhabitants of the State of Indiana through principled advocacy of public policies to preserve democracy, conserve natural resources, protect the environment, and provide affordable access to essential human services.
